</div><div style="clear:both"></div><div style="padding-bottom:4px;"></div>Chili is a popular dish in the American south west and in Mexico. The traditional chilli or chilli con carne is a dish which is made up of the following basic ingredients—ground beef, chilli peppers, cumin, garlic, and onion. These ingredients are the foundation of all chilis. These days, because of its growing popularity, chilli has numerous different types and recipes which chilli lovers came up with. And today, it even reached areas beyond the Americas such as Europe and Asia.

In Asia, chilli is also continuously becoming more and more popular because of its thickness and spicy flavours. Because of this, cooking experts or chefs created a lot of chilli recipes with a touch of Asian cuisine. One example of these recipes is the Chili crab. If you want to learn how to cook chilli crabs, here is the list of tips and steps that you need to follow.

•	Of course, you have to prepare all the ingredients that you will need in this recipe. For instance, you have to buy 3 or 4 pounds of crabs. If you can find Duchess Crabs, it is better to buy them because their taste is very distinct and will really fit into the whole chilli taste.

•	Aside from crabs, you will also need Thai Chili Paste, peanut oil, 3 teaspoons of ketchup, one Asian chilli, a couple tablespoons of soy sauce and the same amount for oyster sauce, and finally, cornstarch slurries.

•	First, you have to clean your crabs and cut them in 4 pieces.

•	Then, prepare a Wok or a pan. In a medium-heat stove, put the pan with peanut oil and Asian chilli. If you can already smell the chilli, this means that it is now ready to be taken out from the pan or wok.

•	In preparing this dish or any kinds of chilis for that matter, you have to be careful especially with your hands. You do not want your hands to come in contact with your eyes or nose because chilis are very hot and can even burn your eyes or nose.

•	The crab can now be added to the mixture. You will know if a crab was already cooked if the color turns to red. If you think the crab is already cooked, you can now remove them from the pan.

•	You can now combine all the other remaining ingredients such as ketchup, oyster sauce, chilli paste, and soy sauce. These ingredients will turn into slurry after you add about a couple of tablespoons of water and cornstarch. The texture of the mixture should be like that of a paste.

•	After you are done with the mixture, you can add the chopped crabmeats into it. Make sure that you incorporate all the ingredients together. Cook it again for about 2 minutes.

•	This will be very nice if it is eaten with jasmine rice.

•	Like most chilis, chili crabs are also easy to cook and they cook very fast.

•	Since crabs are really messy to eat, it is better to prepare lots of napkins nearby.
