1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over high heat until the beef turns brown. Make sure that the beef is ground very finely. If it is still in lumps, break it off to cook it evenly. Your chili dog should not be lumpy. Add a few teaspoons of salt while the beef is cooking.

2. While the beef is cooking, dice the onions into small cubes. Add it to the beef and cook it until the onion becomes soft.

3. When the beef and onion are cooked, add the tomato paste and the chili powder. Add some water to dissolve the tomato paste and the chili powder. If you think your chili isn’t hot enough, you can add more chili powder until you are satisfied.

4. Cook them under medium heat and stir occasionally. Cook your chili for about five to ten minutes.

5. Once your chili is done, grill your Frankfurt hotdogs over coal or using on-stove grills.

6. While your hotdogs are grilling, slice your hotdog buns in half and toast them in an oven toaster. Be careful not to over toast and burn your buns.

7. Place your grilled Frankfurt hotdogs on the toasted buns. Add some mayonnaise or mustard, on your desire. And finally, add your chili on top of your hotdog. You can spread some separately sautéed onions for presentation and extra onion taste.
